African Grey
(Psittacus erithacus erithacus)

Congo African Grey Baby

African greys are best known for their outstanding talking ability and uncanny knack for impersonating different sounds and voices. They are also extremely intelligent and highly sensitive. It may be due to this combination of intelligence and sensitivity that African greys have been unfavorably labeled as neurotic and high strung. In reality, a well socialized and nurtured grey makes a wonderful and devoted pet.
